It's Monday, I'm back and I think I forgot how to blog!
I've had a great summer of reading. Of course, not as many book as I would have liked to read, but will that ever happen?
Here's the best of the best I read this summer:
The Yonahlossee Riding Camp for Girls - This book was way more than I thought it would be. It had some serious Lolita going on, and turned out to be a very interesting read.
Totally my cup of tea. The setting is 1920s Manhattan and the protagonist is a single, working girl - my roots, baby! The rest is dark and deep and not always as it seems.
I must have got hold of an advance copy. This one will be released on September 17. Holy cows! If you need a little manipulative, psycho mother reading, here it is. I loved every bit of this one. Essentially, it is how one mean, sick mother creates co-dependency in her children and husband. Yikes! It scared my pants off.
I guess I must have been in a deep, dark place this summer considering the reads I just gave you!
Enjoy your reads this week!
